| Dell’s new World of Warcraft laptops are shaped like little treasure chests and priced like they are full of booty. Mind you, they do pack plenty of punch, a little more than my desktop, but then my desktop cost me less than half the price. Seriously, I am surprised that they did not release these with an Alienware badge on them. The XPS M1730 World of Warcraft edition packs in a Core 2 Duo Extreme Edition, DX10 compatible SLI, Ageia mobile PhysX processor, illuminated keyboard and a built-in camera. It looks good, if a little portly and I cannot help but think that one would be better advised to spend the $4550 on parts and build a desktop SLI beast. Wait until February and you will be able to get DX10.1 cards or go the AMD route and drop in four reasonably priced cards. |
